Championship Clubmatch

The Championshipclubmatch is thé yearly event to show your Schapendoes, amongst many others, compare them and of course to enjoy a day with other Schapendoes enthusiasts. The judging is done by renowned international judges. The best dog of the Championshipclubmatch wins the title “Clubwinnaar”.

Overview and description of the classes and ages

A dog can only be entered in one class. The individual classes, based on the age of the dog on the day of the show, are:

Minor Puppyclass: for dogs of 4 months of age till 6 months old (not yet 6 months old).
In this class the following qualifications can be awarded: Very promising (VP), Promising (P), or Not promising (NP).
Dogs qualified as ‘Very Promising’ and best of their class compete for the title ‘Best Minor Puppy’ of the day.

Puppy class: for dogs of 6 months old till 9 months old (not yet 9 months old).
In this class the following qualifications can be awarded: Very promising (VP), Promising (P), or Not promising (NP).
Dogs qualified as ‘Very Promising’ and best of their class compete for the title ‘Best Pup’ of the day.

Junior class: for dogs of 9 months old till 18 months old (not yet 18 months old).
In this class and all the subsequent classes, the following qualifications can be awarded: Excellent (E), Very Good (VG), Good (G), Mediocre (M), Disqualified (D)

Intermediate class: for dogs of 15 months old till 24 months old (not yet 24 months old).

Open class: for dogs of 15 months and older.

Champions class: for dogs of 15 months of age or older who won a national or international FCI championship title. A copy of the championship certificate has to be provided upon registration. If this proof is not submitted, the dog will be entered in the Open Class. Champion dogs may enter in other classes applicable, but only in one class in total.

Breeders class: for dogs of 9 months or older and bred by the participant.

Veterans class: for dogs of 8 years of age and older

Couples class: male and female dog of the same owner

In each class nice trophies can be won, although the honour to ‘be with the best’ is the highest reward. Besides the ‘normal’ trophies, we have several special perpetual awards:

  • The Backxbeker                                best young dog
  • The Voorhoevetrofee                         best veteran.
  • The Van ‘t Ruinerveldtrofee               for the best female of the breeders class
  • The Bluktrofee                                   for the best pair in the couples class
  • The Flairamy’s trofee                         for the best dog of the clubmatch
  • The Roel van Veen Wisselprijs          BOS (Best Opposit Sex).
  • The Flevobokaal                                for the best male of the breeders class
  • The Cado-Cadetje Trofee                  for the best male/female of the              championsclass

The perpetual awards must stay within the Netherlands. If the prize is won by a dog from abroad, the cup will stay in the Netherlands and the owner receives a souvenir/keepsake.

Veterinairy check: the registered dogs should be either vaccinated for Distemper, Parvo and HCC, or have a validated titer check proving they are protected. Bring your dog passport. Foreign dogs should be vaccinated for rabies as well.

The next championship club match will take place at 1 november 2020 in het Sport & Event Center Beusichem Rijsbosch 3, 4112 MB Beusichem. Judges are: Mevr. Jettie Alberts and Dhr. John Wauben.
